Welcome To The Round Valley Reservoir Structures Refurbishment and
Resource Preservation Project

The New Jersey Water Supply Authority is responsible for operating and maintaining the Round Valley reservoir, which contains the largest supply of drinking water in the state. The Authority is making improvements to the reservoir to extend its operating life and increase its durability for years to come.

The Round Valley reservoir was formed in the 1960s in the Township of Clinton, New Jersey after the State constructed three large earthen embankments and flooded a large valley. The reservoir was named after the ring shaped Cushetunk Mountain that surrounds the area.
